(1972) Beauvechain (Belgium) Airshow, June 1972

“On the static display this year were two remarkable aircraft: the Lockheed C-5A Galaxy, according to the speaker for the very first time in Belgium, and an Austrian Saab 105, a tiny twin seater one of which on the static show and another participating in the airshow.

Extremely interesting items at this show were the Sikorsky 650E of the Austrian Air Force, of course the USAF participation which was formed by the Galaxy, the F-111 and the refuelling in air of a HH-53C by a HC-130N.

The show  was eventually concluded by a fly-past of 12 F-104Gs and 24 Mirages, of which some were still in silver-overall.”
