” St. Raphael base was built in 1911 and destroyed in 1959. Based here at the moment (1971!) are 10S and 20S, with various types of aircraft such as Flamand, Alize, Beech, Alouette, Sikorski HSS-1 and Super Frelon.
Escadrille 10S; this escadrille is at the disposal of CEPA (Committeefor Practical Aeronautical Trials); it is equipped with the Nord 2404, Alize, Flamand, Alcyon and Beech SNB-5
Escadrille 20S: like esc. 10S this unit is used for tests on behalf of CEPA. Alouette II and III, Sikorski HSS-1 and Super Frelons are in service.”
