(1973) Royal Flush Florennes (Belgium), 13-21 June 1973

From 13 to 21 June 1973 the 17th Royal Flush aerial reconnaissance competition was hosted by Florennes Air Base in Belgium.
Participants in this exercise between NATO reconnaissance squadrons were:
- Belgian AF ( 42 sq. Mirage VBRs from Florennes)
- Royal Netherlands Air Force (306 sq., RF-104G Starfighters from Volkel)
- Royal Air Force Germany ( 2 sq. Phantom FGR.2s from Laarbruch)
- West German Air Force (Luftwaffe) ( Aufkl.Geschwader 51/1 Staffel Phantom RF-4Es from Bremgarten)
- USAFE ( 32 TRS/10 TRW RF-4C Phantoms from Alconbury , U.K.)
- USAFE ( 17 TRS/ 26 TRW RF-4C Phantoms from Zweibrücken )
- French Air Force ( Esc.de Reconnaissance 3/33 Mirage IIIR from Strasbourg)
As chase-planes acted : – French AF ( Mirage IIIBs from EC2 , Dijon)
– West-German Navy ( TF-104Gs from MFG.1, Schleswig and MFG.2,Eggebeck)
– Royal Norwegian AF ( Northrop F-5Bs from SKV336 , Rygge)
Target reconnaissance was provided by : – Royal Air Force ( Canberra PR.7s from 39 sq., Wyton)
