In 2013 Volkel Air Base was the location where the Open Days , organized by the Royal Netherlands Air Force took place , celebrating 100 years of military aviation in the Netherlands and 60 years of K.Lu.
Both Frank and Hans attended the show, featuring a lot of interesting “birds” , which could be viewed both on the ground and in the air. Enjoy their presentation of a number of pictures taken by them on the first day, Friday the 14th of June !
By the way , this Open Day was also a personal jubilee for Hans , because fifty years ago , in 1963 , he visited his first K.Lu Open Day , which then took place at Eindhoven-Welschap !
