KLu & BAF
In this Album we show you pictures of aircraft that are or were in service with the Dutch (K.LU., MLD) or Belgian forces (BAF) .
Not all types that ever were in service of course – because that would be too far fetched – , but only THOSE TYPES THAT WE – THE AUTHORS OF THIS WEBSITE – HAVE SEEN IN OPERATIONAL SERVICE FREQUENTLY.
The KLu and BAF (R)F-84F Thunderstreaks and Thunderflashes are not included here , but appear elsewhere on the site.
In 1966 the Royal Netherlands Air Force acquired five Alouette III helicopters from the French Sud Aviation-factory (nowadays : Aerospatale ) especially for use in the Search And Rescue-role (S.A.R.).
Three models of the Super Cub were delivered to the Dutch Army: 59 L-18Cs (registered R-30 up to R-88), 18 L-21As (R-201 up to R-217 ; + 1 extra, broken up ) and 78 L-21B models (registered R-101 up-to R-186 ; R-141 to R-148 not included)
