Tactical Weapons Meet 1968, Jever (Germany)

Fliegerhorst Jever in Northern Germany hosted the 7th NATO Tactical Weapons Meet , which was an exercise between 2 & 4 ATAF (Allied Tactical Air Force). Units involved were : 311/312 sq.,K.Lu.(Volkel) ; 16 sq., RAFG (Larbruch); 3rd Wing, RCAF (Bad-Söllingen) ; 11th Escadre , FAF (Toul-Rosières); 50th TFW , USAFE (Hahn) ; 48th TFW , USAFE (Lakenheath) ; 10th Wing , BAF(Kleine Brogel); JBG31/33 , WGAF(Nörvenich/Büchel) and LeKG42 , WGAF (Pferdsfeld). This gallery comprises a photo-report of the aircraft participating and also of some visiting and resident aircraft. Hans visited the Meet from 17 to 19 June 1968. On June 10th , 1971 Hahn Air Base in Germany , which was a USAFE Phantom base at the time , certainly was the place to be. During that Armed Forces Day the USAF’s Flight Demonstration Team The Thunderbirds flying its F-4E Phantoms performed a nice show.
Ramstein AB (G) USAFE Armed Forces Day 1971

On June 11th and 12th , 1971 a number of (Dutch) aircraft spotters (Hans was one of them) travelled to Ramstein Air Base in Germany to attend the USAFE Armed Forces Day , which also marked the end of the NATO Royal Flush Reconnaissance Meet that was organized there during the weeks before.

On June 13rd , 1971 a group of Dutch aircraft-spotters (Hans was one of them) visited Wiesbaden Air Base in Germany, which was an American air transport and communications facility at the time.
