On a very hot day in June 1969 the Wildenrath Airshow took place; Wildenrath was at the time one of the four RAF-Germany airbases. It was an excellent opportunity for young spotters, such as Hans and Frank , to enlarge their collection!
In the seventies the Belgian Air Force organized great annual airshows (they still do, by the way). The 1970 show at Beauvechain AB was remarkable because of the very active presence of 5 Starfighters of the Royal Danish Air Force. Next to that the static provided an extensive overview of the Belgian Air Force of those days.
French Thunderflashes flew with the 33rd Wing (Escadre) at Strassbourg. Within the 33 Wing the RF-84F equipped 3 squadrons: 1/33 with code 33-C, 2/33 with code 33-D and 3/33 coded 33-T. They were (of course) replaced by the Mirage 3R between 1964 and 1967.
